Update

Wow.  It has been a little while since my last post.  Apparently time flies when you are as sick as I was.  I had the flu for a little over a week.  I felt absolutely horrible, however I feel much better now and want to provide an update regarding Sharper Image and their gift cards.  The good news for consumers is that Sharper Image will again honor their gift cards.  I did see that certain companies began accepting Sharper Image gift cards on their Web sites.  Brookstone, a direct competitor of Sharper Image, began accepting Sharper Image gift cards by offering 25% savings if the gift card was given to them.  A rather smart idea from Brookstone.  I read one article where a gentleman turned is $80 Sharper Image gift card into a savings of $2000 from Brookstone.  Now keep in mind he did purchase two chairs for $4000 each!!  I know have to go and look up what a uHarmony Chair is an see what it does for the money, but hey I am not one to concern myself with what others are spending.  There were a few other online stores accepting the Sharper Image gift cards and now that Sharper Image is going to accept them it seems like the tragedy was narrowly averted.
